Across Programmed we celebrate and take pride in the diversity of our people and the communities we work within. As part of our ongoing efforts to celebrate diversity, we have a diversity calendar highlighting some significant days and events throughout the year.
It's important to note that while our diversity calendar features key dates, it is by no means an exhaustive list of significant days. We understand that there are many other days that hold significance to our employees and teams, reflecting the rich tapestry of cultures, traditions, and identities within our organisation.
Our approach to celebrating diversity involves empowering teams to choose a few events from the calendar to commemorate together, as well as any other significant days which are of particular meaning to individuals or teams within our business.
As these days approach, our HR team and Leaders will provide communications and resources, such as toolbox talks, posters and other supporting materials. These resources aim to facilitate meaningful discussions, foster understanding, and promote inclusivity within our teams. We also strongly encourage local events and celebrations to mark these occasions.

If you're passionate about celebrating diversity and want to champion it at your local branch or office, we encourage you to sign up as a Local Diversity Day Champion.
What is a Local Diversity Day Champion?
We understand that celebrating diversity means different things to different people. As a Local Diversity Day Champion, you'll have the opportunity to shape these celebrations within your team.
You might focus on a few significant days throughout the year, organizing local events to mark them. This could include hosting a morning tea, inviting a guest speaker, or organizing a team activity—such as using our new volunteer guideline to arrange a group volunteer day at a charity or community organization. To support these initiatives, we’re calling for passionate individuals to sign up as a Local Diversity Day Champion.
As a Local Diversity Day Champion, you'll receive support materials, including posters, toolbox talks, and ideas to help you organize celebrations locally in collaboration with your local Leadership teams. These resources are designed to assist with event planning and encourage wider participation across our locations.
Join us in making these celebrations meaningful and inclusive, and help foster greater involvement across the business!
