Movember - WTP's outstanding fundraiser and ways to get involved!

Nov 1, 2024 1:19:42 PM | Culture & Community Movember - WTP's outstanding fundraiser and ways to get involved!

Raising awareness and funds for men's health this November.

It's time to grow that MO! Throughout November, teams across Programmed (Mo'grammed) will participate in Movember, raising awareness for men's health and helping to fund groundbreaking men's health projects.

One outstanding example of support is Melbourne Water's Western Treatment Plant (WTP) and their exciting fundraising initiative, spearheaded by the passionate Hilton Bugg.

Programmed Movember Poster

We caught up with Hilton to ask about his motivation behind the initiative, and he shared the following inspiring message:

"I have a deep passion for mental health and love discussing it to promote awareness and encourage conversations around these important topics, guiding individuals toward professional support.

"This is the path to regaining balance in life. I truly believe that you get back what you put in (reap what you sow). If I can assist even one person in opening up about their struggles and finding the help they need, it makes everything worthwhile. Mental health impacts everyone, regardless of their background."

Hilton's fundraiser has already hit the ground running, hitting over $2k in its first week! The fundraiser will be bolstered by an exciting event at WTP later this month, including a raffle with prizes from some very generous sponsors. We look forward to sharing all the fun from the event in late November.
