Opening doors and inspiring futures at the 2025 Clontarf Employment Forum

Aug 12, 2025 10:30:00 AM | Culture & Community Opening doors and inspiring futures at the 2025 Clontarf Employment Forum

Empowering the next generation through connection, confidence and career conversations. 💼

This year marked the second time Programmed proudly attended the Clontarf Employment Forum at Optus Stadium, bringing together over 140 Year 11 and 12 students from 14 Clontarf Academies across Western Australia.

The Clontarf Foundation plays a vital role in improving the education, discipline, self-esteem, life skills and employment prospects of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men. By supporting these students to build confidence and practical skills, the Foundation helps equip them to participate more meaningfully in their communities and future workplaces.

This year’s format gave students exposure to a range of industries and practical employability skills. Throughout the day, students rotated through mock interviews with potential employers, gaining invaluable interview experience, confidence, and tips on building long, sustainable careers.

The day was hosted by Clontarf students themselves and featured powerful guest speakers, including Clontarf Alumni Jeffery Farrell and Clontarf CEO Gerrad Neesham, who shared their personal stories and encouraged students to believe in what’s possible.

Our team chatted with students about real opportunities and what a career with Programmed could look like. We also ran a raffle for two $50 JB Hi-Fi gift cards and our lucky winners were: Domonic Hedlam from Cecil Andrews Academy and Cameron Maynard from Fremantle College Academy!

We’re proud to support the Clontarf Foundation and be part of events that help open doors for young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men. We look forward to continuing our partnership and seeing where these bright futures lead.
