Recognising National Reconciliation Week 2024

May 27, 2024 12:43:10 PM | Culture & Community Recognising National Reconciliation Week 2024

Reflecting on our commitment to reconciliation and sharing your pledges.

This week, we join millions of Australians celebrating National Reconciliation Week (NRW). At Programmed, we recognise the significance of this week and the opportunity it presents for each of us to reflect on our commitment to reconciliation. It is a time for us to come together as a community, to listen, learn, and take meaningful steps towards reconciliation.

This year's NRW theme is 'Now More Than Ever', serving as a poignant reminder that our collective efforts toward reconciliation are as crucial as ever. It underscores the need for sustained action to address the injustices faced by First Nations Peoples and to build a more inclusive and equitable society.
More can be found about this year’s theme via the official NRW website.

Sharing Your Pledge

We recently made a callout for submissions to our pledge initiative, encouraging our team members to write a personal pledge that reflects a commitment to reconciliation. You can check out the great submissions on the poster below:

Teams background and email signature

Download a NRW Teams background and/or email signature to use this week! You can find them, and some posters for your office or work site, via the button below.

Colouring in activity

If you have children in your lives this is a wonderful opportunity to teach them about National Reconciliation week and get them involved too. See below colouring in activity you may wish to share with your loved ones.

Toolbox talk

We've prepared a toolbox talk to be shared across the business this week. The toolbox talk has more information on how you can further educate yourself about NRW, what you can do to get involved, and how you can share in the celebrations with your colleagues, family or friends.

Together, let us embrace the spirit of National Reconciliation Week and work towards a future where reconciliation is not just a goal but a lived reality.
