This year, Programmed turns 75 - a huge milestone to be proud of!
Our story began in 1951 in Melbourne, when Norman Miles opened a small painting business with one vehicle and a team of just three painters. Focusing on industrial painting contracts, Norman believed in thinking long-term - not just completing one-off jobs but maintaining them. What started as a single painting crew planted the seed for the business we know today.
75 years on, we've grown well beyond those early beginnings, but the same mindset still runs through everything we do. While our services, scale, and reach have evolved, our story has always been shaped by our people - the teams behind the work and the purpose that connects us.
This anniversary is a chance to reflect on that legacy, recognise the impact we've made together, and look ahead to the next chapter.
How we're commemorating 75 years of Programmed
Throughout the year, we'll mark this milestone with a range of commemorations, stories, and social content shared both locally and at a Programmed wide level.
