At Programmed, we’re committed to continually improving our employee benefits and making things simpler and more accessible for everyone. We’re pleased to announce some important updates to our salary packaging arrangements and partnerships, designed to streamline the process and provide even greater value to employees.


What's changing?

  • Two Salary Packaging Providers across the business: From today, we will have two salary packaging partners available across all business units - Kooya and Smart. Both offer a wide range of benefits, competitive pricing, and responsive customer service.

  • Retirement of ICT Portable Electronic Device Process: All requests for portable electronic devices will now be managed through Kooya and Smart. The internal ICT salary packaging process has ben retired. Any orders currently approved and in progress will continue, however no new requests will be processed.

  • Orix Update: If you currently have a novated lease with Orix, you can continue with your existing agreement until the end of your lease term, however any new salary packaging arrangements will need to be through either Kooya or Smart.

* Please note, in addition to the eligibility criteria set out in our Salary Sacrifice Policy, the Australian Tax Office (ATO) also have specific requirements which determine an individual’s eligibility to salary package certain items. For example, in order to salary package portable electronic devices and e-bikes, these items must meet a certain criteria and must be used predominantly for work / commuting to work purposes. It is the employees responsibility to ensure they meet the requirements as set out by the ATO. For more information about these benefits and the ATO eligibility criteria please contact Kooya or Smart Salary.

Additional Super Contributions

Programmed also offer eligible employees the option to salary package additional superannuation contributions. This process is facilitated internally by our payroll team. For more information regarding this please refer to the Additional Superannuation Contribution Form below or contact your payroll team.


We’re excited to bring you these improvements and hope they make salary packaging more accessible and streamlined.

We’re also pleased to be working towards an additional partnership with Origin Energy, which will expand salary packaging options to include electric vehicle subscriptions and other benefits. More information will be shared over the coming months.
