Submit your selfie to WIN!
Welcome to the July edition of our Work and Smile Selfie Challenge and second edition of our 'Your Reason "Why"' challenge!
For some people, work is about personal growth and opportunity (For Me). For others, it’s about supporting family (For Us), being part of a team (For We), or making a difference in the community (For All Of Us). Sometimes it’s the big goals that drive us - and sometimes it’s the little everyday moments that make work feel worthwhile.
In this challenge, we're asking which "Why" resonates with you. It's been another ripper month for selfies, but we've handed our top selfie to Wayne Carling for both his own submission, and a moving submission about him from an admiring team mate.
Each quarter, we'll be sharing a new challenge theme, with your selfies going into the draw to win a $250 AUD gift card!* We'll be sharing your submissions each month and shortlisting a top selfie, with the shortlisted entries voted on by YOU at the end of each quarter to decide our overall winner.
Find out more and submit your selfie for this quarter's prize by clicking below!
*Terms and conditions apply - see submission page for more information
Top selfie for July 2026

Wayne Carling
Facilities Coordinator, NZ
From Wayne:
"The relationship we have the school. We are treated as one of their own, and we treat the school as though we own it ourselves. The photo is me with the school admin team."
From team mate Pat Kenny - Contract Manger:
"One of the best examples of the culture we have built across our PPP2 schools is Wayne Carling, our Facility Manager at Rolleston College.
Wayne doesn't just look after the school buildings and grounds—he has become a valued part of the school community. In his own personal time, he has established and coaches the school's football team, giving students opportunities to develop, belong, and succeed both on and off the field.
His commitment goes well beyond the requirements of his role. It reflects the pride our people take in their schools and the genuine relationships they build with students, staff, and the wider community.
At PFM, we believe our role is about more than maintaining facilities. It's about creating environments where schools can thrive. Wayne embodies those values, and his dedication is something we are incredibly proud of. His contribution is a testament to the passion, care, and community spirit that our entire team brings to the PPP2 contract every day."
