Superannuation Announcement

Gender inequality has been a key theme in our engagement survey; the feedback suggests Programmed must actively find innovative ways to achieve gender equality.

Programmed’s approach to addressing this has always been about taking practical steps to embed sustainable change.

Some of the ways Programmed is bridging the gap include:

• offering a gender-neutral parental leave policy to encourage the sharing of parenting responsibilities;
• including employees on parental leave in the annual remuneration review process;
• paying (non-compulsory) super contributions while on parental leave (both Programmed paid and Government paid); and
• offering flexible work arrangements to balance family and career effectively.
But there is more we can be doing, particularly when it comes to reducing the gap at retirement.

To further support closing the gap, we are pleased to share that effective from 1 July 2022, we will be introducing a return-to-work co-contribution Superannuation bonus. To encourage women to take an active role in growing their superannuation savings, Programmed will match personal superannuation contributions up to $1,500 in the first year of a parents return to work (after taking parental leave).
