This Friday, we share a story from Michael Gelb, Learning and Development Advisor, about a site visit turned celebration of teamwork, collaboration, and our shared Work and Smile vision.

In early October, Paige Padjan and Kat Lopez from Facility Management's HR Team enjoyed a site visit to the Brooklyn Pumping Station with Michael Gelb from the Melbourne Water contract.

Entering the facility, Michael highlighted Programmed’s vital role in the water industry, explaining the intricate Melbourne Water systems that keep Melbourne’s water running.

On a tour of the pumping station, the Paige and Kat were awed by the massive pumps and intricate control systems. It was incredible to see how much effort goes into something we often take for granted.

During introductions to the team, Michael highlighted the importance of teamwork and communication among the staff. “Every role here is crucial,” he said, “and it’s the collaboration that makes everything work smoothly for me, we and us to Work and Smile”.

Reflecting on their experience, the team felt invigorated not just by the knowledge gained, but by the connections they made on this insightful day.
