"Congratulations to our Open Space team member, Bret McLoughlin, who, along with his driving team, has successfully completed the 2026 Variety Bash - in their unforgettable SpongeBob-themed vintage Mercedes.
After travelling from Halls Gap, Victoria to Exmouth, Western Australia, the team overcame mechanical challenges, crossed some of the country's most spectacular landscapes, and helped raise a record-breaking $2.69 million for Variety - supporting children living with illness, disability and disadvantage.
We're incredibly proud to support Bret's efforts and the resilience, positivity and community spirit he demonstrated throughout the journey - well done, Bret, on an inspiring achievement and an adventure to remember."
