Programmed Work and Smile Fridays

Bringing the festive cheer with celebrations and donations!

This Friday, we're wrapping up the year that's been with a compilation of some of the festive celebrations happening across Programmed Facility Management, highlighting a heartfelt donation by our Fyshwick office team in ACT!

A feel good festive Friday for our Canberra team

Our Facility Management team members may recall our Fyshwick office team as the winners of our first Work and Smile Selfie Challenge a few months ago. The team has followed up by exemplifying Work and Smile once again by donating their winnings to Kids in Care, a not-for-profit charity delivering gifts to children in care to make sure all local kids can experience the joy of opening a present on Christmas day.

After voting to donate their $250 gift card prize, the team have been busy collecting toys for the charity with an ever-growing pile of gifts under the Christmas tree, donated by staff, vendors, sub-contractors and local partners.

Since joining Programmed, Social Inclusion Manager Gregory Lackey has supported the toy donation for Kids in Care ACT every year. “Programmed are proud to support Kids in Care ACT. It’s an incredible local charity that has a really positive impact for children in care," he said.

The Programmed team did some savvy shopping with their voucher during a half price toy sale, effectively doubling the amount of extra toys that could be donated. These were combined with toy donations from vendors and sub-contractors, resulting in a huge donation of toys.

Amazing work, team! What an inspiring way of bringing our Work and Smile vision full circle.
