This Friday, we share two stories about our Brooklyn Pumping Station team coming together to celebrate the many cultures, stories, and identities that make our workplace such a vibrant community - from a colourful Diwali lunch to proudly receiving the NAIDOC Team of the Year Award. A big thanks to Kathleen Locke for these submissions! --- Diwali celebrations "Diwali comes from the Sanskrit word deepavali, meaning “row of lights.” It marks the triumph of light over darkness, of good over evil. We were treated to some beautiful Indian foods however, people brought foods from all over the world for all to enjoy. We all left with very full bellies. It was a great opportunity for the team to come together, share stories of their heritage and just have a good chat.
