Property Services Open Space team gives back at Foodbank

During their team conference, the Open Space leadership team stepped away from their usual day-to-day tasks and put their teamwork to the test in a different way, volunteering at the Foodbank warehouse in Melbourne.

Spending the day packing boxes of fresh pears and apples, the team played a hands-on role in supporting individuals and families facing food insecurity. Their hard work helped ensure that nutritious food reaches those who need it most, reinforcing our company’s commitment to making a difference beyond the workplace.

It was a fun, fast paced day for the team, with perhaps a gentle reminder from Tony Murphy, Head of Open Space, that if the team don’t meet their KPI’s their volunteer day packing boxes could turn into an everyday “reality” for the team. All in good spirits of course.

Troy Maple, State Manager of Open Space for VIC/TAS, looked almost in his element setting up boxes for the packing team with a competitive edge to his efforts, whereas others resembled a teenage fast-food worker with their pace and rigor.

We are proud of the Open Space team for deciding to spend their conference bonding time volunteering together, in what could have easily been spent sharing a delicious meal or an energized activity, they decided to do some good for the community around them. Truly #PPSproud #ForAllofUs
