This Friday, we share a remarkable story of endurance and team effort as a band of New Zealand Programmed Facility Management team members pushed themselves to the limit with Oxfam Trailwalker!
Since 2006, over 21,000 New Zealanders (and many overseas patrons) have taken part in this incredible endurance team event, walking 25, 50, or 100 kilometres through stunning Aotearoa terrain and raising vital funds to help eliminate poverty. In its final iteration, a group of our toughest employees took an extraordinary journey that tested their endurance, determination, and the power of teamwork.
The brave group included Clarissa Natac, Teena Prem, Samantha Bernard, Malcolm Maciver, Maria Mamea, and Hanse Gomes, accompanied by support person Kenichi Mizuno.
Clarissa, Finance Manager – Auckland Council Contracts, shared her experience with us in her own words.
“At every step of the way, the support we received was truly overwhelming,” said Clarissa. “From the encouraging words of friends and family to the cheers of fellow participants along the trail, we felt surrounded by positivity and encouragement.
Together, we not only overcame a physical challenge but also made a significant impact on our community. Through our combined efforts, we demonstrated that when individuals unite with a shared purpose, extraordinary things can be achieved.
This journey has strengthened our team bonds and solidified our relationships. It serves as a testament to what we can accomplish when we work together towards a common goal.
Here's to many more adventures, challenges, and victories together!”
A huge congratulations to the team for their enormous accomplishment, and for truly embodying the Work and Smile vision!
