I am happy to share that Homes New South Wales (Homes NSW) has informed Programmed that we are their preferred maintenance services provider for three regions across their Social Housing portfolio.
Homes NSW has issued letters of intent to preferred service providers of their 13 Contract Areas, with Programmed Facility Management preferred in three regions.
Programmed will provide responsive and planned maintenance services to Homes NSW's social housing portfolio for the inner west of Sydney, Southern NSW and Western NSW, including Bathurst, Dubbo, Forbes, Wagga, Albury, and Griffith.
Partnering with a focus on people and social housing
Homes NSW (formerly Land and Housing Corporation) is established by the NSW Government and is a custodian of the largest social housing portfolio in Australia.
Homes NSW consolidates the housing and homelessness functions of the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ), the Land and Housing Corporation (LAHC) and the Aboriginal Housing Office (AHO), streamlining services by bringing them under one roof.
This agency will help rebuild and restructure the social and affordable housing system, to create a seamless approach with a focus on people front and centre. Homes NSW is a statutory corporation that owns and manages land, buildings, and other assets that comprise over 95,000 properties.
Programmed's scope of work
Programmed will be Homes NSW’s Head Maintenance Partner for the 3 key regions mentioned with a deep commitment to the social housing sector.
Our scope of work will include planned and responsive works on repair and maintenance, as well as works aimed at ensuring vacant properties are up to standard and comprised of Capital Upgrade Program, Programmed Accessibility Modifications, Vacant Restoration Program, Certifiable Component Servicing, Lawns, Grounds and Cleaning, Termite, Fire Restoration and Structural Works, Building Upgrade Works, Environmental Upgrade Works.
Strengthening our capabilities in Australia and New Zealand's housing sectors
This partnership will strengthen our capabilities in the housing sector across Australia and New Zealand, joining our existing customer base of Housing and Community Services Directorate Australian Capital Territory (ACT), Housing Authority Western Australia (WA), HousingFirst (Victoria), Hume Community Housing (New South Wales), Te Āhuru Mōwai (New Zealand) and Victorian (VIC) Housing.
The mobilisation period of Programmed with Homes NSW will begin in March 2024. In this contract, more than 90 new jobs will be created at Programmed, with multiple service providers engaged to create stability and income for businesses across Australia.
