Festive season blood drive - Give the gift of life

Written by Facility Management | Nov 25, 2024 11:38:41 PM

You have the power to save lives this festive season!

This year, you can give a gift that is truly special and life-changing, making a world of difference to a complete stranger and their families - the gift of life.

Just like the rest of the year, the need for blood doesn't stop over the holidays. From 25 November 2024 to 5 January 2025, we're encouraging our Programmed community to consider giving blood or plasma to give someone else more time in the present moment, more laughs, and more moments to cherish.

When you donate during this period, you'll also receive a festive bandage designed by Melbourne artist Kat Macleod.

1 donation = 3 lives saved

Our Programmed teams are known for our ability to unite for a shared cause and make a real impact. Your blood donation will be used for patients who are experiencing cancer, surgery, and trauma, while plasma donations (the yellow part of blood) will go to patients with autoimmune disorders, severe burns, and many other serious illnesses.

We'll be tallying up donations across our teams, allowing us to count how many lives we save during this blood drive.

Here's how to get involved

If you can donate and are willing to give it a go, here's what you need to do:
