Honouring all who served on Remembrance Day 2025

Written by Facility Management | Nov 7, 2025 12:49:57 AM

As we approach Remembrance Day on Tuesday, 11 November, we take time to reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and service of all those who have served in wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping missions. At 11:00 AM, we invite everyone to observe a minute of silence to honour the lives lost and the enduring legacy of those who have served our country.

Recognising Defence Force connections across our workforce

Earlier this year, we ran a voluntary ANZAC Day survey to better understand the connections our workforce has with the Defence Force. We’re proud to share that:

  • 6% of our permanent workforce has a direct or indirect connection to the Defence Force (including employees, their significant others, parents, family members, and chosen family). This includes 42 individuals who have a direct connection themselves.

These results reflect the deep and personal ties many of us have to those who have served, and we recognise these connections as part of our collective remembrance.

Ways to honour Remembrance Day

We encourage all employees to take a moment of reflection and remembrance. Here are a few ways to respectfully engage:

  • Observe a Minute of Silence at 11:00 AM
  • Attend a local commemorative service or wreath-laying ceremony
  • Learn more about the history of Remembrance Day, and learn and share stories of those who served, especially those whose histories are less widely known. Please see below links to some resources.
  • Support Veterans and their families through community initiatives, volunteering or donations.

As we observe Remembrance Day, let us also extend our gratitude to those who continue to serve our countries.

At Programmed, we are honored to have Veterans amongst us, contributing their skills and experiences to our workforce.  As we approach Remembrance day we would like to extend our sincerest gratitude for their bravery and service to our Nations.
