At Programmed, we’re proud to support the essential services that keep our communities running across Australia, working with utility providers and local governments to maintain critical infrastructure and deliver positive outcomes for people and places.

Today, I’m pleased to share the extension, expansion, and continuation of several significant contracts across the water and local government sectors – a reflection of the strong partnerships we’ve built and the consistent, high-quality service our teams deliver every day.

💧 Melbourne Water - Contract extension

Since 2022, Programmed has proudly partnered with Melbourne Water, delivering an essential service in maintaining the city’s vital water supply and delivering high-quality drinking water to our communities.

Primarily, we deliver mechanical and electrical maintenance, civil services, facility management, and the delivery of Minor Capital Services to Melbourne Water through the EIMD contract. In addition, another contract sees the delivery of Contestable Minor Works, where we deliver capital projects.

Today, I’m excited to share the extension of our Contestable Minor Works contract for another three years. Further, the contract has been amended so that Programmed can compete on projects up to $10m in value (previously $5m), which gives us the opportunity to significantly grow our projects under contract.

With 18 projects awarded to us, the Contestable Capital Works Contract has been an overwhelming success for both Programmed and Melbourne Water, with our team receiving strong, positive reviews.

In addition to our outstanding delivery of services, the contract team has constantly strived to make a positive impact on our broader community, including the delivery of works through eight indigenous and social vendors.

And our graduate program continues to provide our talent of the future, with one of our Graduate Project Engineers now producing great work for the Contestable Capital Works team.

💧 Sydney Water - Contract extension

Programmed has delivered excellence for our Sydney Water contract since the commencement of our partnership in 2020, providing Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil Maintenance services across the large portfolio of water and wastewater assets.

As we move into our sixth year, I’m pleased to share Sydney Water’s confirmation of the second half of our 10-year contract through to 2030.

While we’re committed to delivering excellence in facility management today, we’re also proud to be nurturing the leaders of tomorrow through our graduates and apprentices.

The contract has kick-started the careers of two current graduate engineers and two engineers who have completed our graduate program, with our first graduate engineer recently promoted to a Project Manager.

We’ve also welcomed 12 apprentices on board, half of whom are women, actioning our commitment for a gender diverse workforce. Another four of our apprentices are now working as fully qualified tradespersons on the contract.

💧 Urban Utilities - Contract expansion

In 2023, Urban Utilities partnered with Programmed Facility Management to deliver an Integrated Facilities Management solution across several of its key assets.

Today, we’re excited to share that our partnership is growing, with Programmed expanding its services across additional Urban Utilities sites.

Urban Utilities is one of Australia’s largest water distributor-retailers, providing water and wastewater services to more than 1.6 million customers across South East Queensland. Their human-centred approach to enriching quality of life strongly aligns with Programmed’s own values, and we’re proud to support their long-term strategic goals and day-to-day operations.

The expanded scope includes Facilities Maintenance Services, Cleaning, Grounds Maintenance, and Transition Services. An integrated approach will see Programmed Property Services Grounds Maintenance working alongside our Facilities Management teams, demonstrating the power of our connected capabilities to deliver greater value and service excellence.

This milestone further strengthens our commitment to supporting thriving communities across Queensland and continuing to create training, apprenticeship, and employment opportunities through initiatives like Programmed’s Water Academy. We also look forward to deepening our social and First Nations engagement as part of this partnership.

🏛️ Stonnington Council - Contract extension

Our partnership with Stonnington began with Programmed’s acquisition of UMS, with our services covering Hard Surfaces FM, Graffiti, and Grounds Maintenance.

With the Council noting the increase in customer satisfaction and overall outcomes since our acquisition, our 11-person FM and Graffiti team’s hard work has been rewarded with a three-year extension of the contract.

These contract extensions reflect the ongoing trust our partners place in Programmed to deliver dependable, high-quality outcomes across our community’s essential services.

They’re also a credit to the efforts of our teams on the ground and behind the scenes who remain dedicated to delivering strong results and driving improvements. I’d like to sincerely thank all of our teams involved for your enduring hard work and commitment.

We’re proud to continue working with these partners and look forward to building on the great progress we’ve made together, driving improvements to support strong, long-term outcomes for the communities we serve.

Take care and stay safe,
