Programmed Expands Support in the Pilbara Region of Western Australia with PLS Agreement

Jan 15, 2026 12:14:23 PM | From Our Leaders Programmed Expands Support in the Pilbara Region of Western Australia with PLS Agreement

A milestone marking significant growth for our business in WA's resources sector.

We are delighted to announce a landmark agreement of Programmed with PLS - a milestone that marks significant growth for our business in Western Australia’s resources sector.

The Pilgangoora Operation is home to a large residential workforce operating in a remote environment and is the world’s largest independent hard rock lithium operation, playing a vital role in supplying materials for the global energy transition.

Through this agreement, Programmed will support everyday life in the villages, focusing on comfort, consistency, and care for the people who live and work on site.

About the agreement

Programmed Facility Management will provide integrated village services across Pilgangoora, including catering, housekeeping, retail, wellbeing initiatives, and accommodation management over the coming three years. Our services cover both on-site and off-site village management, supervision, labour, plant and equipment, tools of trade, utensils, and consumables across two villages, totalling over 1,400 beds.

Our focus will be on delivering clean and comfortable rooms, nutritious food, friendly service, and spaces where people can rest and recharge after a long shift at the mines.

A shared commitment to safety and people

Programmed and PLS share core values in our genuine commitment to caring for people. At PLS, this is underpinned by an unwavering focus on wellbeing and safety as guiding principles. With Programmed’s experience in remote workforce accommodation, and our ability to deliver exceptional services, we are proud to align with PLS’s commitment to their people.

We look forward to delivering a great experience to all staff at Pilgangoora and building a strong partnership for years to come.

This agreement with PLS represents a real shift in how village services are delivered. We’re bringing fresh thinking and practical solutions that make a tangible difference on site. Backed by our experience and capabilities, we’re excited to set new benchmarks for what facilities management can achieve in the resources sector.

Supporting the Pilbara Region

Programmed will manage two villages: Carlindi Village Hub and Tambrah Village. Carlindi Village Hub has 909 beds and accommodates PLS’ permanent staff as well as their embedded permanent and short term contracting workforce and visitors. Tambrah Village, located 30 km from Carlindi, opened in 2022 and has 568 beds, primarily hosting Projects personnel and their construction workforce. Programmed’s key focus at Tambrah is responding to occupancy changes and ensuring seamless accommodation management.

We’ve been proudly serving businesses and government for over 70 years. This new partnership builds on our strong presence in the Pilbara region, where we proudly support operations for Woodside, 29Metals, and now, PLS. These collaborations reflect our dedication to powering some of Western Australia’s most important mining and energy operations.

The mobilisation period for Programmed with PLS has begun and is set to go live in February 2026.

This achievement is a testament to the dedication, expertise, and passion of our people. Thank you to everyone involved in securing and mobilising this contract. Together, we are building a brighter future for our clients, communities, and teams.

Let’s celebrate this success and look forward to delivering outstanding results for PLS!
