Regional students kick goals at Clontarf Academy's Wadjemup Cup

Supporting Clontarf Academy and their mission to uplift and inspire young Aboriginal men.

One of our proud community initiatives is our ongoing support of Clontarf Academy and their mission to uplift and inspire young Aboriginal men, providing mentorship, athletic opportunities, and a foundation for future success.

The Wadjemup Cup embodies this spirit, combining sport with cultural appreciation in a truly inspiring setting. Joining forces with the Rottnest Island Authority and Clontarf Football Academy, Programmed once again recently supported the spirited, round-robin Australian Rules football event held at Wadjemup (Rottnest Island).

The annual event brings together year 8 and 9 students from across Western Australia, including communities as far north as Carnarvon and far southeast as Esperance, for a day of sport, camaraderie and cultural connection.

Over 100 students travelled to Wadjemup for the competition, beginning their journey with a Programmed-sponsored barbeque dinner. This gathering offered students a chance to connect, share their stories, and thank the team for their support. The next day, the football games kicked off, with students competing passionately for the ultimate prize – the Wadjemup Cup.

We're incredibly proud to support such a fantastic event and Clontarf's mission to inspire and uplift young Aboriginal men!
