Strength to Strength – Programmed Facility Management renews and extends key contracts across Australia and New Zealand

Jul 4, 2024 1:24:12 PM | From Our Leaders Strength to Strength – Programmed Facility Management renews and extends key contracts across Australia and New Zealand

Continuing our strong relationships with contracts across Victoria, Western Australia and New Zealand.

In 2024, our business continues to go from strength to strength.

As we kick off a new month and the second quarter of FY24, our success continues to drive us forward – today, I’m pleased to share an array of recent contract renewals and extensions for some of our most valued customers.

Contract Renewals

Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) - Victoria

Town Hall 3

It’s a pleasure to announce our renewed partnership with the Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA), having committed to continue our relationship delivering Make Safe services for 1,743 public school campuses across Victoria.

Commencing our partnership in 2019, our ongoing contribution to the safe and secure education of Victoria’s young people has been an enormous source of pride, and we’re pleased to be able to continue this work for further terms of up to 6 years.

As well as our vital Make Safe works, we also look forward to continuing additional works around Power Feed program, Teacher Housing Upgrade program, Relocatable Upgrade program, CO2 installation program, and many more.

Through initiatives such as a new customer portal, advanced reporting and analytics, a 100% local team response, and the introduction of new roles to our existing 20-strong workforce, we are proud to continually demonstrate our value to this important customer.

Department of Finance, Maintenance Service Arrangement (MSA) - Western Australia

Museum

In a major win for the West, our Maintenance Service Arrangement with the State Government has been extended for a further three years.

In 2021, the Government Sector team said that in order to retain the MSA for the next term, Programmed Facility Management needed to do two things – be brilliant at the basics, meeting contractual requirements and agency needs, and cement our indispensability by informing and enabling strategic decision making on assets and maintenance spending. We’re proud to say that our employees within this contract have overwhelmingly delivered on these criteria.

From 2016, Programmed Facility Management has provided a range of services with MSA, including breakdown repairs, routine maintenance and property services, as well as strategic maintenance planning and management activities across six WA Government Agencies in the Perth metropolitan area and the Peel region.

Wadjemup Rottnest Island, Tourism Facility Management - Western Australia

In testament to our business’ commitment, care, and investment within our longstanding relationship, we are pleased to share Programmed Facility Management’s 5-year contract extension with the Rottnest Island Authority.

Following 12 months of stabilising our relationship and focusing on service level improvements, we reinforced the significant benefits our partnership offers the state. Despite challenging times through COVID-19 and massive surges in visitor numbers, Island Operations Manager Dan Hunt and his team have delivered an outstanding result.

It was recently announced that while Dan will continue to manage island operations as General Manager, Urban Services, Gary Monaghan will step into the role of Island Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Facilities Utilities and Support Services (FUSS) contract, leading its 125 staff members.

Gary is a highly skilled leader with a wealth of experience primarily across the Water Industry, most recently leading the company’s Melbourne Water contract in Victoria. Having spent considerable time overseeing the Perth Region Alliance (PFM’s alliance with Water Corporation), Gary has returned to Perth to lead services on Wadjemup Rottnest Island.

With more than 500,000 people visiting Wadjemup Rottnest Island every year, Programmed Facility Management provides a vital service in ensuring the maintenance and enhancement of operations that preserve the island’s unique heritage, landscape, and biodiversity.

Contact Extension

Auckland Council, Amenities and Infrastructure Maintenance Services - New Zealand

Auckland Council 0407

Programmed Facility Management commenced our partnership with Auckland Council in 2022, with the contract accompanying our acquisition of AIMS Solutions. Today, I am pleased to share the extension of our agreements with Auckland Council until the maximum term, through to 2027.

This win has undoubtedly been supported by our teams' exceptional performance - the most recent quarterly KPI performance under the Rua Full Facilities Contract has designated the team as one of our leading contractors.

Our agreement with the Council involves full facilities maintenance, sports field renovations, minor capital works, and arboriculture specialist services, delivered by our 303 team members.

Since beginning our partnership, Programmed Facility Management has played a key role in ensuring public facilities across Auckland are safe and functional, with our maintenance services covering parks, administrative buildings and community buildings such as libraries, community halls, pools, and public toilets.

A big thank you to our Programmed community for your outstanding efforts

All of these achievements are testament to the strength of our relationships with our customers, built upon a rock-solid foundation of trust, commitment and dedication that makes Customer Service one of our core values.

We are incredibly proud of the efforts made by our outstanding team members across the organisation that make these wins possible and underpin our ongoing growth journey.
