Our latest Programmed Difference Award winners
Taraq Hall
Electrical Leading Hand, Property Services
Nominated by Mark Smith, ANZ Quality Manager
"Because of the confidence that Telstra has with PET to deliver high-quality and safe outcomes they requested PET to be involved in an audit as part of Telstra’s OFSC accreditation at the Williamstown RAAF Air Base.
I’d like to take this opportunity to call out and recognise the outstanding work carried out during this audit, by our onsite Leading hand, Taraq Hall. Taraq has stepped up to look after this because the Project Manager for this site has been on leave, his commitment to ensuring a smooth and successful audit was exceptional. He dedicated countless hours to developing comprehensive work folders and thoroughly preparing his team, all contributing toward a very positive outcome for Telstra and helping to cement the relationship with them.
I also had the opportunity to observe Taraq working with apprentices, among other things demonstrating the correct method for opening closing large heavy pit lids that can cause serious injuries, or the pits lids can be damaged if this is done incorrectly. His approach to training the apprentices was highly effective being clear, supportive, and professional. This reflects well on the calibre of tradesperson and leader that he is."
Kieran Enright
HSR/Civil Technician, Facility Management
Nominated by Renee Cananzi, Trainer and Assessor
"This nomination recognises an outstanding and dedicated HSR whose tenacity and persistence has had a real difference to the safety of more than 250 workers accessing ETP which is an essential sewer treatment plant each day.
After identifying serious risks at a dangerous intersection regularly used by workers, contractors and visitors, they refused to accept “if/when there is a fatality” to justify the “black spot program” by VicRoads and pushed for meaningful change.
Through ongoing advocacy, collaboration, and genuine care for the wellbeing of all, they drove a campaign that kept safety firmly on the agenda and encouraged action from key stakeholders.
What makes their contribution stand out is the passion despite feeling targeted; they pushed until they got a response from the MP Sonia Kilkenny.
They consistently spoke up for the workforce, raised awareness of the risks, and worked constructively with others to pursue safer outcomes for everyone using the site.
Their efforts not only spiked government action but clearly supported stronger conversations around safety, increased visibility of the issue, and contributed to long-term improvements that will benefit workers and the wider community well into the future.
This individual embodies what it means to make a difference; not through titles or recognition, but through action, integrity, and a genuine commitment to protecting people.
Their leadership demonstrates the positive impact one person can have when they care enough to speak up and continue pushing for change, even when challenges arise and they feel lack of support from higher up.
They are highly deserving of recognition for the lasting impact they have made to get the government to intervene and ultimately save lives."
Tracey Morrow
Administrator, Facility Management
Nominated by Scott Minahan, Warehouse and Inventory Manager
"I'd like to nominate Tracey Morrow for the Programmed Difference Award after she displayed the highest level of care and empathy toward another PFM employee who was enduring prolonged, serious medical complications.
When our employee was unexpectedly absent from work, Tracey discovered they were on life support in an ICU. She showed the highest level of support, helping by providing emotional care, personal belongings, assistance with communications on residential matters, and transportation from the hospital.
Using her personal time and resources, Tracey also prepared our employee’s apartment with food, appliances, and the necessary furnishings to make their return home easier and more suitable for recovery.
Never asking for anything in return, this award would be a small token of appreciation for the incredible work she has done."
Adam Hodgkinson
Supervisor - Aboriginal Housing Contract, Facility Management
Nominated by Karen Stuart, Contract Executive NSW
"The Aboriginal Housing Contract is a remote, regional, highly complex and vulnerable contract to deliver housing refurbishment projects for. The remote location and delivery of this contract requires that Adam works autonomously 90% of the time. Adam has shown what it means to go above and beyond to ensure that PFM deliver a high level of service not only to the customer but as importantly to the Aboriginal Communities we are working within. He has shown not only a strong work ethic but complete empathy and understanding of the environment we are working in. He is an asset to my team and to Programmed."
Gareth Sheard
National Commissioning Manager, Property Services
Nominated by David Bickerton, BDM
"Gareth consistently goes above and beyond his normal responsibilities by assisting with additional workload, providing guidance on complex national clients, and supporting the wider team when required. He has regularly dedicated his own time, including after-hours and weekend work, to develop technical tender responses and provide commissioning advice and guidance.
Gareth's commitment, technical expertise, and willingness to support the team have directly contributed to the successful acquisition of several large national projects for the PET team, delivering significant value to both the business and our clients."
