Mentoring at Programmed: Connecting for Growth and Success!

At Programmed, we strongly advocate it's Your Career, Your Opportunity.   We encourage and support our people to actively pursue their goals, whether it be to advance their career, diversify it or be the best they can be in their current role.  Moreover, we believe in the power of collaboration and the value of learning from one another, which is why we are thrilled to announce the launch of our PPS & PFM Internal Mentoring Program.

Programmed’s internal mentoring program aims to support our vision of building outstanding people by connecting our experienced and knowledgeable employees with our emerging talent.

Benefits for both the mentor and mentee include one-on-one guidance and support to enhance career development and networking opportunities, exposure to different perspectives and approaches to problem-solving, as well as an opportunity to strengthen your leadership capabilities.

But don’t take our word for it; Gail Tracey, Strategic Sales Manager for PFM, shares her experience being mentored:

In my experience, qualifications and technical ability only get you so far. Passion takes you further, but if you throw a good mentor into the mix, the possibilities are endless. Over the years, my mentors have sparked ideas and opened my mind to so much, real light-bulb moments brought about through a simple conversation. I would encourage everyone to seek out a mentor, either formally or informally. It can be life-changing.

3 Key Program Highlights:

  1. Mentor-Mentee Matching: We have carefully designed a matching process to pair mentees with mentors based on their areas of interest, expertise, and career aspirations. This ensures a productive and mutually beneficial mentorship experience and could result in cross-divisional pairing.
  2. Flexible Commitment: We understand that everyone's time is valuable, which is why our program allows for a flexible mentoring commitment. Mentors and mentees can establish their own meeting schedules and define the frequency and duration that suits their needs and availability.
  3. Goal-Oriented Approach: The program encourages setting and achieving specific goals. Whether it's acquiring new skills, gaining industry insights, or developing leadership capabilities, mentors will work closely with mentees to establish objectives and create actionable plans for success.

HOW TO I BECOME A MENTOR OR MENTEE?

We are currently seeking Expressions of Interest for our Mentoring Program.

To understand if this program is right for you, please refer to our Mentoring Guideline and Mentoring Handbook and come along to a mentoring information session to be held Thursday, 5th October 2023, 11 am - 12 pm.

Before expressing your interest in the program, potential mentors will need to seek endorsement from their line manager, and potential mentees will need to seek approval from their line manager.
