This Friday, we’re celebrating the retirement of Phil Walter from the Sydney Airport team, marking the end of an incredible chapter and the beginning of a well-earned new one.
"On Friday 27th February 2026 at 6am, Phil Walter officially retired at the age of 76 after working with PFM since 2019.
Phil has been part of the SYD Airport contract for an incredible 19 years, spending most of that time working night shifts. His dedication, reliability, and positive attitude made a lasting impression on everyone he worked with.
To mark the occasion, PFM put on a Mediterranean spread at Phil’s final Prestart meeting, enjoyed by colleagues, subcontractors, stakeholders, clients, and managers. The number of people who attended was a true testament to the impact Phil has had on those around him.
The celebrations continued later that evening with drinks and dinner at his local hotel with friends and colleagues.
We thank Phil for his years of service, friendship, and commitment, and we wish him all the very best for his retirement and future endeavors."
