This Friday, we share how the Facility Management Business Analytics team in Victoria organised a community engagement initiative, spending the day with enthusiastic students from Deakin University Burwood, Business and Analytics Society.
The event aimed to build connections in the local community and introduced university students to the world of business analytics at Programmed.
The day began with an overview of Programmed and what it's like to work as a business analyst. Our team shared how they use data and insights to empower key business stakeholders to make data-driven decisions. The event also offered an overview of Programmed's graduate program, where two of our previous graduates shared their personal growth experiences with the group.
The highlight of the day was a practical analytical challenge that was given to all the students. The challenge was a real-life analytical task that showcased the practical application of their skills. The students had just two hours to complete the task. The top six submissions were recognised, and they were given the opportunity to present their findings to the group, with prizes awarded to the top three submissions.
The day also served as a launchpad for promising talent. The top three students are now in the running for a summer internship at Programmed, where they'll have the chance to further develop their skills and make meaningful contributions to the field of business analytics.
The entire Facility Management Business Analytics team did an amazing job showcasing Programmed and building connections with students who are eager to complete their degrees and enter the workforce.
Thanks to the Deakin Business and Analytics Society for their hospitality, engagement, and interest in learning more about Programmed!
