This Friday, we’re celebrating Pink Shirt Day with our Hamilton, New Zealand team, who marked the occasion with plenty of pink, some delicious cake and an important conversation about kindness and inclusion.
"We celebrated Pink Shirt Day in our Hamilton, New Zealand office (and of course, no office initiative is complete without cake). This was an opportunity to revisit our collective commitment to preventing bullying, and fostering a culture of respect, inclusion, and manaakitanga (care for others).
In New Zealand, one in five workers have experienced bullying in the past 12 months, and bullying costs NZ employers an estimated $1.34 billion every year.
Pink Shirt Day aims to address these challenges by fostering empathy and respect, helping to reduce the negative effects of bullying on mental health and general wellbeing."
Such an important initiative, well done team! Big thanks to Jude Wright for this submission.
