This Friday, we share how teams across Facility Management and Property Services celebrated a unique combination of festivities and brought some great fun to their workday!
At Facility Management, teams celebrated the vibrant festivities of Diwali and the spooky fun of Halloween 🪔🎃
As the two celebrations intersect and our teams were able to share their cultural differences, it was an enlightening and fun celebration across our offices in Australia and New Zealand.

"Diwali comes from the Sanskrit word deepavali, meaning “row of lights.” It marks the triumph of light over darkness, of good over evil. Though Diwali traditions vary according to region and religion, the myths and historical stories behind the holiday share themes of justice and liberation.
"Although not technically a Friday, the MWAT contract team based at Brooklyn Pumping Station had their annual Diwali celebration on 28th October and multicultural lunch. We were treated to some beautiful Indian foods, however, people brought foods from all over the world for all to enjoy.
We all left with very full bellies. There were some beautiful traditional outfits worn as well.
It was a great opportunity for the team to come together, share stories of their heritage and just have a good chat.
Plans are already being discussed for next year with ideas floating around for what people are bringing next year."
What fun! Great work everyone.
